Paulette’s Story
Early Life and Education
Born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland, Paulette Brown developed an early interest in law and justice. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from Howard University, a historically Black university in Washington, D.C., known for its strong emphasis on social justice and civil rights. She then pursued her Juris Doctor at Seton Hall University School of Law in New Jersey, where she honed her legal skills and prepared for a career dedicated to advocacy and service.

In private practice, she became a partner at Locke Lord LLP, an international law firm. At Locke Lord, she specialized in labor and employment law and commercial litigation.
